The zinnias are starting to bloom.

Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers. They come in all different shapes, sizes and colors. They are only annuals - they die every year. But every year in the fall I harvest the dried seed heads and each spring I sprinkle the seeds from the dried seed heads here and there throughout the gardens, lightly top with some soil and then stomp them into the ground. That's it!

I've probably been doing this now for about 18 years so I guess they are my heirloom zinnias.

I understand now why you dislike Winter..........you have so many beautiful flowers and plants in other seasons.
      Excellent shots.

Phenomenal shots! I love zinnias too, but I don't think I planted any this year. What was I thinking?
