Jarvo Challenge: What Product Or Export Best Represents Your Country/Town/Region?

by Ricardo August. 20, 2010 5559 views

JJ [photoblog.com] Came up with this challenge : ‘’ what product or export best represents your country/town/region?’’
I couldn’t resist in participating!

So this is the product that represents not just my country, but also my region. I live on Porto Area, so the product is… Vinho Do Porto aka Port Wine or Oporto wine

Port wine is a wine produced in Portugal. Some countries such as Australia, South Africa, Canada, India,Argentina, and the United States tried to make a wine like this, but the only Porto wine is original from Portugal, and there is no other taste like itself and the original.
It is produced from grapes grown and processed in the demarcated Douro region, which is in the North Of Portugal. In Talking about The Douro Vineyards you can see them over here (my pictures):

Cheers

Fantastic post Ricky, but the bottle is empty ;-(
I love Porto Wine or Port as it tends to be known here. In the days running up to christmas I have a bottle on my desk which I share with any friends/colleagues who care to visit me.

Port is my favorite dessert wine! When I was 16 was the only thing I could drink alcohol because it is very sweet ... it's really good :-)
