283. Mushroom Season Is Open!

Panaeolina foenisecii aka Haymaker's Mushroom

Lawn mushroom, It is reported as poisonous as it contains small quantities of the psilocybin group of hallucinogens. There are probably legions of small children who have swallowed this mushroom as they crawl across the lawn. If they are spotted then they will have the unfortunate experience of having their stomach pumped. Don't eat it!

Mushroom Season is open!;)

I really like the third shot that shows the beautiful textures underneath the crown. Very interesting information, too.

Love the angle of the last one. I may go to the woods to hunt them this weekend.

I keep looking at the photos for a pixie or sprite sitting under the mushroom.
