Coccinella septempunctata aka seven-spot ladybug

All right my dear photobloggers, Ladybugs as well as the butterflies are the best sign of spring uh? ;))
I found this one in my bedroom window from outside. I took it, took some shots, and set it free!
They are so cute! ;):)

Spring has sprung indeed! These are fantastic macros Ricky! I have these ladybugs coming out all over the place here....they overwinter in any crack and crevice they can find. When it warms up a little .....out they come....along with the stinkbugs.....which I hate....haha

I like the last shot. I hope this is a sign of a fast approaching Spring, I love Spring almost as much as Autumn.

Ricky, these are so good and detailed. I had never noticed the two white spots over the eyes before! #2 is just perfect.

Too bad DOF is so narrow... I guess we can't stack when they're alive and moving... :-)

      @Poshrat: Yes we have =)
      it is like this:

      ''Joaninha voa voa,
que o teu pai está em Lisboa
      Vai te dar uma sardinha
      Para a joaninha '' ;))
which is like (in case you don't know portuguese):
      ''Ladybug fly fly away
      Your Dad is in Lisbon
He will give you a sardine
      For you Ladybug''

#4 seems just about perfect to me. I wonder if you have the children's rhyme in Portugal 'ladybird, ladybird, fly away home, your house is on fire and your children are gone'? We used to chant it as kids - don't know why - it's rather horrible really.

As McMommy says, we have plenty inside, so you would be well blessed at our house. We love seeing them outside though as they help to reduce some plants which have come to our country and become a problem.
