Armenia: Blue Mosque of Yerevan

by Dzmitry Samakhvalau August. 03, 2007 4090 views

You could not find this attraction in the guidebook, but it is situated in the center of Yerevan. The Blue Mosque was built in the 18th century. That time Armenia was dependent on Muslim Iran and Turkey. For several times it was abandoned. Nowadays, it is the center of the Iranian community in Armenia (about 3 000 people, include 2 500 students).
