Sometimes people choose different strange places for their shelter. Thanks to its broad vaulting this rocky lime mount in the south of Crimea was a popular lair of primitive hunters that painted the walls with their scrawl, then of shivery vinedressers, then of Christian monks. Monks are tenacious to live here even at our time. Local people call the mount as Kachi Kalion (the Cross Ship), because of naturally charred cross and the shape of the ship.
