Mykonos is one of my all time favorite places. These comparative images were taken many years ago and transferred to digital medium.

I like the originals, and they translate so well to this artistic style. Especially like the sky in #4.

Thanks Bethany- I still struggle with old slides. They are hard to clean dust off and transfer any quality. But some of the old images are laced with experiential feelings I am just compelled to share them.

Love your originals and the impressionistic digital ones, as well!
 Both have artistic merit.......IMHO....

What equipment are you using to digitize your slides/photos?

Camellia- for my old Ektachrome and Kodachrome slides I use a modified slide projector that casts the image to an internal screen. I cloaked the screen with an opaque shroud and simply placed my DSLR on a home made tripod and capture the projected image. Good- easy and controllable. Bad- halo from the projector bulb. For all my old prints I use the Plustek Z300.

Then I must say your captures are very good. I though for sure you were using some sort of a designated scanner of sorts. Nicely done. Thank you for clarifying.
