Raised in a spiritual family, I'm always surrounded by magic. I find all forms of magic fascinating and filled with a plethora of lessons.
My favorites are:
*Believe in magic
*Balance your need's and your want's and be brave enough to know the difference
*commit to unlearning
*do no harm
*know that you're not practicing magic alone
*surrender to trust
*surrender to the work
Surrendering is a challenge in understanding of the role that magic plays in my life. It is a process. There are days that I'm in love with all things magical and days where I feel that magic is a figment of my imagination. Fortunately, I'm comforted by the resurgence of witchery in films and literature. I discovered the series "The Magicians" by happenstance and immediately became a fan. The writers shed light on the relationship of magic to human error. Magic can't solve human flaws. Practicing magic from a place of desperation leads to disaster. The key to magic is knowing that it's magic. Changing my reality depends on how persistent I am in my pursuit of magic. Only time will tell.
