Portrait - DoF Test

A small variety of shots experimenting with DoF (Depth of Field). DoF refers to the distance between the two nearest and farthest subjects within a scene that appear acceptably in focus. A lower aperture number (e.g. f/2) will show a smaller distance between the nearest and farthest subject in focus, whereas a higher aperture number will display all subjects in the image to be in focus. Using a low aperture is often good for portrait photography, as this allows all focus to be on the person within the photo, rather than their surroundings.
