Up and Over the Bighorns, June 12

See that cut in the mountain. That's where we'll be in a few minutes.

Part way up, looking back to where we were.

Steamboat Rock

Fallen City

Started running into snow. Who would have thought - the middle of June. Where are the wildflowers?

Stopped for a candy bar. As we were leaving a girl came running out (in the rain) and said “Don't go over 14A, it's closed”. So we decided to take the more traveled route, but much longer.

Ran into a savior and followed him up and over the mountains. At the highest point we went over Granite Pass - 9,033 feet elevation.

Christmas card trees

Looking down onto the other side.

FINALLY some wildflowers

Canyon skyscrapers. (What do you think, Lex?)

At the bottom Shell, Wyoming

And the reason…………………Lilian Rose 6 days old!
