Chokecherries

An institution around here. People wait for the “cherries” to get ready so they can make chokechrerry jelly. Someone told me recently that they're selling for $10.00 a lb. at the farmer's market. I guess some people would rather buy them than go out in the country and pick them.

Where I grew up (Pennsylvania) it was Elderberries.... we have neither here in Michigan!
