“A tear on the face of eternity”-said the great Bengali poet,Rabindranath Tagore about this ultimate monument of True Love.
...And it is said that Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor who built it in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, got the very river, the Yamuna, diverted, so that it flowed beside the Taj-to make it all the more beautiful.
-Great post, specially the first one.

Is it really as breathtakingly beautiful in reality as it is on photographs, Wanda? (One of my secret dreams is to see this in person one day...)

All are so lovely, but for me #3 captures something so ancient and peaceful and mysteriously India.

Framing, composition, color, angles - everything is perfect in these shots, Wanda! You're allowing me to see places I will probably never get to visit! TFS!!
