Sunset at Elk Neck State Park

by Paula February. 16, 2011 1917 views

Wendy and I drove on from the dam to the park. Although the pictures look very serene, the wind was incredible that day– there are steep cliffs off the side of the trail we were on, and I was hanging on to the trees to be able to take these. We were hoping to hike to the lighthouse, but between the wind and the trail soggy and icy we will have to go back when it's warmer– with our kayaks.

It was icy along the edge of the bay, it's kind of tough to see through the trees.

Wonderful light. Its true, there does't seem to be any wind to move the branches of the trees.
