McIntosh Run, Leonardtown MD

Southern Maryland Paddlers went on a group paddle trip yesterday. Lots of birds– though none were cooperating with letting me get close yesterday. Saw eagles, herons, egret, swans, canadian geese, hawks, kingfisher, red wing black birds.

Our tradition is to line up at the beginning and take a group photo– so we know how many we left with and make sure we bring that many back :)

3 swans…

Our mascot Lulu was back with us… she jumps from kayak to kayak now…and hops right back in the boat when told…

The kayakers below kind of remind me of dragonflies with the paddles criss crossed…

I like the canopy of trees at the end of the narrow run

Egret and heron

Wow. Beautiful shots of a great looking paddle. We were, similarly, paddling too, although you saw a greater variety of wildlife. The stream in 10 through 20 looks very inviting.
