Seven arches bridge built for lord Leverhulme, a man who had lots of money and built all sorts of things up above Chorley in Lancashire, this I find the most interesting as it seems a lot of work for no real reason, must be fantastic to be able to build such things just because you can. He built a bungalow for him and his wife but this was burnt down in 1913 by a suffergette named Edith rigby because she wondered if it was more valuable than his other house's. What a excuse!! History lesson over.

The bridge that seems to go nowhere, but a very good looking bridge

A lot of work went into the arches

In the main arch

On top of the bridge

Looking out towards Blackpool

The M62 motorway, it gets you from Preston to Manchester or viceversa!

Very interesting post, I love the buildings in brick, the brick material much more natural than the steel that sent her into retirement. Great shots!
