My scars

by Chris Cann December. 02, 2015 2170 views

This is for photoblogger buffer221 who showed off his scar and said we should wear our scars with pride but seeing as my scars run from the top of my thigh down to my ankle it's a bit hard to show them off. The scars began life as 6 compound fractures, a motorcycle accident on 25th November 1979(the date sticks in my mind) I was in hospital for 6 months and it was another 21/2 years before I was allowed to go job hunting as the firm I did work for had gone pop.Thats enough about me, I wonder if any more scars might appear.

The scars have faded over time but it takes a few years. this is my thigh.

lower leg, scar runs from knee to ankle.

WOW! You're very fortunate to live to tell about it! The two times I came closest to death were both motorcycle-related. I gave it up years ago.....

I agree with angil, it takes some bravery to expose a bit of yourself and show off your scars like you did. Thanks for sharing

who cares about scars, broken teeth and missing inner organs? geez people... it's just a MACHINE you're using. that machine gets scratched and breaks somewhen, nothing to be proud of or feel bad about.

you'd rather be thinking what you did with those legs/organs/teeth. what GOOD you did. if at all.

:( Sorry sounds quiet painful I agree with buffer221, shouldn't hide them. I got small scares nothing to really show off because they where from my own stupidity lol. I got a scar on my eyebrow from jumping on the bed when I was a kid and my mom told me to stop but did i listen? I got on my ear from my dog chasing me when I was on a sled I don't know what caused that to happen. I decided oh hey I can cut an orange myself since my mom won't do it and I'm hungry and decided to cut my finger almost off. I was being silly and dorky on my bike and cut my leg some how I don't remember how that one happened. I just remembered there was no hospital and my family had to play medic. I also have a lot of cooking scares. One on my belly from a pizza pan that I didn't scoot up enough, and then one on my hand from cooking a tv like dinner in the oven and had the window open when I cut a slit in the plastic it blew on to my hand. That hurt like a son of a bitch.
