Susan G Komen Walk Washington DC 2010

Once again I photographed part of the Susan G. Komen walk for the breast cancer cure. This year in Washington, DC. This year I'll show you “some” of the walkers but I want to concentrate on the unsung heros, the staff that support the walkers. They don't get cheered, clapped for, or really recognized except at the closing that I'll show you in a couple of day. Great closing location by the way. In the center of the last photo is my wife, Janie with a couple of other nurses manning the medical station on the second day.

I thought that sign was a perfect entro for the walk.

Team Treasure Chest. Look at how many signarures.

Love the sunglasses and look at the line of walkers stretching out in the background.

I wonder if the wings make the walking lighter.

Here are three bumblebees in with the walkers.

One of the pit stops for water, food, and medical assistance if neccessary.

This is a medical station.

A little food and a lot of costumes.

A gypsie and a ? working an intersection helping to block the traffic for crossing walkers. In DC, I think that's a pretty dangerous job.

Another medical station.

This one has a special helper, at least to me she is. That's Janie, my wife in the middle.
