Trinity Audubon Shells

by Dean Singleton September. 07, 2012 1812 views

As the ponds were drying up there were some fair sized fresh water muscles that did not make it.

This one was one of the few that had both halves together.

About 10 feet out in the pond there was a half shell with a snail on the right end and an ant on the left side.

This one was about three inches long.

I liked the rich orange color on this one.

This may have had a bottom half still attached to keep it at an angle in the mud.
