Wylie Bluegrass Festival and Car Show

Just a few more cars. These from the Wylie Bluegrasss Festival and Car Show in Wylie, TX. These were some of the best put together cars I think I've ever seen. You can tell a lot of care and detail went into the customization of all of these. Only a couple of shots showing a banjo indicating that there was music. I'm not making any comments on these, just use your imagination.

OK, there are two I'll comment on, this and a 36 Ford later on. I've never seen anything like this. A Willis Jeep all terrain vehicle that had been restored to beyond it's factory specs. This was just plain beautiful in a tough sort of way.

This is the second one I'm commenting on. Again something I've never seen before. The flames on the sides are not painted, but rather embossed in the metal. The stood out from the body by almost a half inch and looked fantastic. I think painting them in would ruin the whole effect. It was beautiful inside and out.

I love Bluegrass music! Xm radio has an excellent Bluegrass station (Bluegrass Junction- XM channel 61)! I listen to it every time I'm rolling, in my little Honda (magic carpet). Fantastic series, as always Dean!!! Thanks!

Can't have bluegrass without banjos. ..
I think the rat rod in shot 22 is my favorite. Great vintage with modern upgrades.
