Super Blood Moon

Series shot Sunday night of the Super Blood Moon. Mother Nature decided to step in and give me clouds. Thin but still clouds. Made for some interesting shots but not what I wanted. Drove 30 mile outside the city to get them. My wife called and said it had cleared at home so back I went. Walked out and shot a number of HAND held shots with the equivalent of a 1600 mm lens including doubling and the crop factor. Cleanest of the night. Whood have thunk it? Should have stayed home.

Very thin clouds.

Thicker mottled clouds five minutes later.

Looks like a quarter moon here.

Opened up and slowed down the shutter, I think 1.5 seconds and the combination of moon movement and clouds kept it soft but I finally got the color.

Front porch, hand held, 1600mm, no clouds. Should have stayed home for the first series instead of driving 30 miles out into the country.

Great set. Some of those books must have
the word "photography" in the title.
