Fun and Favorites 2015

Not all were taken this year. Just some I like And some everyone else likes.

I go back to this place time and time again. I just love this old car.

Spring and the tulips were magnificent.

One of the water features at the Dallas Arboretum. I don't know why it wiggles back and forth but it does, and it makes some pretty interesting patterns.

Cleared for landing runway 21 left.

Dallas Discovery Garden butterfly. A year round butterfly garden filled with butterflies from all over.

Dad and Lad. Paul and Connor at Easter. Connor just couldn't quite make it so Paul did what dads are supposed to do.

Fooled you if you thought this was the shot on the back of Outdoor and Popular Photography a while ago. That one was taken by Mike Motes and this one was taken by me in his macro class a few years ago. Almost but not quite identical. By the way, this was taken months before Mike's photo appeared in the magazines.

In the early morning light I caught these four balloons being inflated at the Plano Balloon Fest. Wind was too high at 500 feet to launch so the pilots inflated them for the hundreds of photogs out there taking, what else? Photos. Nice guys.

The Embrace shot at the Ft. Worth Artfest one evening. Gold frames reflecting different lights in the area.

Bluebonnets south of Dallas in Ellis County. Has to be the bluebonnet capitol of the world.

Finally the truth! This is why the birds were really angry. Have you ever been goosed by a pig.

Bluebonnets, Ellis County again.

More bluebonnets, near Palmer, Texas.

A little rope work at the Ft. Worth Stockshow and Rodeo parade.

Sky rat hovering above me.

Cleared for landing limb 45 right at White Rock Lake.

Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.

Face art on a beautiful little girl.

Lost Maples in the Sabinal Valley in central Texas.

Fall in the Sabinal.

Boots on the ground, well not quite, fence posts got in the way. They ran for about 300 yards on both sides of the road not too far from Utopia, Tx.

Cypress in the fall in the hill country of Texas

Connor, Easter last year. Getting ready to sneak him aboard a flight to San Antonio. Not!

Connor at the Arboretum in Dallas.

Early morning on the Trinity River. South Dallas at the edge of the Great Trinity Forest.

Sunset on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, TX.

A little water on the bloom.

Hundreds of acres of sunflowers led me to take hundreds of pictures. I think that this one needs a little color correction though.

Toucan with a tongue. Never dreamed that a bird this size would have a tongue thinner than a pencil lead.

Sometimes I sits and I thinks, and sometimes I just sits.
