TWAN - The World At Night

by Amir Honarmand March. 17, 2011 6322 views

Here is the photos which I took yesterday night when me and Pooriya [photoblog.com] and one other friend Houman went out of city to a place called Khan valley it was great night with bright moon in sky and I Pooriya shared his knowledge from TWAN workshop with me and taught me how to take photos when the moon is in sky, thanks Bro!

I am looking forward to see your comments and your opinions about my ever first TWAN photos

Cheers!!

Your night photography reminded me few lines about stars from "The Little Prince":
If you love a flower which happens to be on a star, it is sweet at night to gaze at the sky. All the stars are a riot of flowers.
I missed your new poem here...

I really like #4 and #5
I wrote the same thing to Pooriya: I would have liked it a little bit better if there was more sky and less branches. I think it weakens the photo, since the stars are the main subject, not the branches. Or maybe this was the point of the photo, and in that case I totally misunderstood it, my apologies ! (by the way, what is TWAN ?).
That's why I like #4: there is a frame, given by the mountain and the trees, but most of the photo is the stars ! And this is gorgeous ! I think I could spent the whole night looking at the stars (I once almost did, when coming home late... I was in the garden, looking up to the stars... until my father yelled at me because it was really late!).
I also like #5 because of the exposition: it's pretty dark, unlike #3, so the focus is put on the stars, and the branches are just a beautiful silhouette. In photo #3, it's too bright, so the branches attract the eye.
The first is really good too. Too bad we can't see it bigger, I'm sure it looks marvelous when the picture is big !

I'm glad to see you back on PB Amir :) I missed your photos ! Welcome back ;)

Great shots.
3 and 4 are my preferred for the twilight and the impression of cold and dry air.
