Photo Walk

This afternoon I headed out for a walk with the camera to see what I could find.

I liked the way the ivy was winding its way around this tree and the stark shadows cast by the sinking sun.

OK, they're pine cones and large ones at that, growing on trees that overhang a busy road and a footpath with benches dotted along it.
I wouldn't want one of these landing on my head, although they rarely break off alone, more often than not a branch with several cones will fall …. ouch!

Here come the swans

Whenever anyone sets foot on the pontoon in riverside park, all manner of birds think there's food about. Much to their disappointment I only wanted to take their photo!

Cheer up!

Out of the many many photographs of the swans I picked this one. I like the way the light plays with the beads of water…

This lad is evidently enjoying splashing through the puddle, far more than his mother who was standing nearby.
