In 1911 Lord Curzon bought Tattershall Castle and paid for its restoration. As Lord Curzon had been Viceroy of India a special Indian Weekend was held to commemorate the purchase and restoration of this fine castle. Amongst the attractions were displays of traditional Indian dancing which proved to be very colourful.
