Rundles Open Day 2012

by Peter Mcguire November. 05, 2012 3433 views

October saw one of the last Steam shows of the year at Rundles of New Bolingbroke. It was a delight to see two Tuxord mobile steam engines working side by side. Tuxfords were originally a Boston based company located at Mount Bridge.
Another delight was the excellent model of a Carousel that had taken the late Ken Rundle of Gloucester 37 years to build. The model included the miniature trucks in which the ride was stored in when being transported from fair to fair. It had taken about 5 hours to erect the ride. The model changed owners before finally becoming the property of Ken Rundle of New Bolingbroke whose company manufacture the real thing!
