Bike at the loungebar

A nightshot in monochrome can be very nice. This is from my nightwalk in the city this week. The bike is standing in front of the loungebar ROXY, this bar has a bit of a reputation, and not a very positive one. Next door there is an eventhall where on a regular base, they having shows, musicals etc.

The building dates from 1963 and was named The Shop, a place where the dockers came together everyday in the hope to get called to work. situated next to the old drydocks and the entrance into the port of Antwerp. The building is protected, luckely else it would be already gone.

Gonna put in the color version also so you can decide wich you like best. For me it is the monochrome one.

I think both are great. The monochrome makes me think of no action, like everything is finished for the evening.
The color makes it alive with life.

In the mono version's lines, shadows, lighting & textural contrasts do show up more dramatically.....

I like both. The mono brings out the bike, the color brings out the building, each telling a different story. :)

Although I am a huge fan of b&w I think the colour one edges out the monochrome in this case.  Not by much though.
