Wide angle fun

by Berckmans Peter December. 02, 2018 514 views

Yesterday decided to go to a phote expo by David Yarrow one of my favourite photographers from the moment. He is worldfamous for his wildlife photos and sold one ' The wolf of main street, for 100.000 dollar. You should check him out, he is great. Coming out I felt a bit small.

Had the camera with the 12 mm on it, with me and decided to go and have some fun taking pictures. So here is some wideangle fun.

Lately I can feel, that I am looking for something. Not easely pleased no more with my work. Maybe it is a style or direction I am looking for. Friends and strangers say my pictures are good but I feel I can do better. Working around the limits of my camerabody, helps me to be creative. But the level entry Fuji does a great job. Now it is up to me to look where I am going.

Really delightful effect in #5! I like how the color shift emphasizes the way people are moving.

It worked well and it is nog in your face. Some people not notice it the first time. Makes them look twice.

I agree, it's very subtle. It took me a second to notice it, but it really adds to the photo.

So good to be able to see your pictures again Peter. Last night I've landed in Schiphol on my way back to Portugal coming from Japan

Love these series and I think you're captures and edits are super. I especially like #4 the perspective you took and the wide angle lens really make the mural shine. #5 stopped me in my tracks. Half monochrome and half color is outstanding. May I ask how you did that? In my mind you can easily sell these prints if you aren't already doing that. VERY NICE!!smile

Thank you for your kind words. Selling not yet,the limits from my camera gets in the way,it is only 16MP. Not good for big prints. For #5, in the program I use there is a feature called sift. You can keep a part original and another part you can choose, like monochrome, unsharp, lighter or darker. It is very flexible.

i used to be pleased with a great subject matter.. now i want to try giving mundane things an artsy feel..
i like these.. the architecture is interesting, but i find myself eyeballing the people.. the man turning to watch the girls on bikes [or what appears to be watching them]..
anyway
LIKE..
