Piano's in church ?

Two weeks back we visited the village of " Oud Rekkem " in the province of Limburg. Once it was voted as the most beautiful village of Flanders, lets that keep in the middle.It was a grey ,cold early morning when we arrived there. So after a while we were looking a place to go inside.

An old church from a monastry, gone now , was open. To our surprise it was a piano shop together with a small concert room. Talking to the owner, he said the church was empty for 15 years and they got permission to convert it. I must say they did a good job. We asked if we could take some photos and that was no problem.

I send him a few of my photos, that he can use free as long that I am mentioned. Who knows to what it can lead.

What a great idea to convert the church into a piano store and your captures are very nice. Is this the same Limburg where the Limburger cheese comes from?

If you mean the goat cheese, yes. Other one I think comes from the province Limburg in the Netherlands. That is not far from there;

They are going to restore it. 15y of cold and moisture is no good for it. First it has to hecome stabile .

Thrilled to hear that, Peter.  I played a pipe organ at a restaurant here in California some years back.  Not many left anymore.

True, Peter.  But while beautiful music, I prefer to hear more popular tunes played on them.
