Common blue, brings inspiration

by Berckmans Peter May. 25, 2019 251 views

Well today I had time to take pictures, but had no inspiration at all. Just decided to go for a walk and put the camera in my bag, not even checking wich lens was on it. It turned out to be my 60mm f2.4 macro. Never mind, did not expect to shoot much. 10 min in my walk I saw some nice blossoms and had a play with them. Than my eye spotted this common blue butterfly, so far this season I have not seen many butterflies. No tripod with me , so doing our best to capture it.

So this little fellow came to my rescue and gave me some inspiration.

Wonderful macro images. Great captures.
Can you tell me the resolution/pixel size of your cover images? I have always admired it and can't seem to get a cover image that is crisp like yours.
Thanks for the help Peter.

I post most of my photos in full size , you can choose this option when uploading.Resolution is mostly around 4896X3264, that is rather small because my camera has only a 16mp sensor.

What a beauty Peter. I don't know why it's called common blue because there is nothing common about it and I have never seen one. It must have been a sign from above to coincidentally have your macro with you. Very good macros and such a steady hand.

Normally we it is called a Icarus butterfly and they are a small kind, but they are beauties. I have to learn to take my tripod out more in nature. I did some macro yesterdeay and did not change the lens. Now I am looking at a real macrolens, this one is only a 1:2 need a 1:1 one; Glad you like my blue friend.
