There is a world behind red glass

Well today I got a message my IR filter has arrived. After work I went straight to the shop to pick up. The weather was very sunny so, good conditions for some IR photography. Must say I never did this kind of photography before.

When looking at them in camera they were very red. After a bit of edit, not to much, an other world came alive. I knew what I was trying for; a bit of end of the world style.

Straight out of camera

I am pretty pleased with the results, you can have a lot of fun with this style. So the filter will become a resident in my bag. One thing I have to look in, I love the winterstyle, blue and white. Have to figure out how they do that.

Have to be carefull for sunflare

Ok Peter, you've tempted me to try again. I scrolled up and down and there are a few I like more than others. For example #2 straight out of the camera does have a "movie" quality to it...scarry stuff but when  you edited the white trees in #3 also give it character. If I was forced to pick #4 and #5 are my favorites. Can't wait to see the "blue & white". smile

Playing with the colorlines in edit is not so easy. It is a bit if a challenge this, have to practise much more. Read somewhere you have to adjust your wb in camera already beyond what you can d in edit. The blue and white is really difficult to get.

Nice! Number two really feels like there's a comet about to smash into the earth and kill us all laughing

In fact that is the way they come out of the camera. They are all born red or reddish.

It is cool to play around with it. Not for daily use but if you want something else. Waiting for your results
