Chinon cameras, an name that many now not are familiar with. This small Japanese maker , made some quality cameras. They are build very well ,all metal and that translates in quite a heavy camera, with lens the better part of 800gr. I did not had one before until I got a broken one for free from somebody. It was beyond repair, but I really liked the feel of it and went hunting for one. You can find them dirt cheap. I found two cameras really quick in good condition, just a clean needed.
The Chinon lenses is something else, they are the biggest surprise to me. I like and have some vintage lenses and use them on a regular base. Now these are very very very good. They can keep their own with some modern lenses. Especially the 55mm f1.7 is a jewel. The 135mm f2.8 is also pretty good. Gonna post a seperate post of the lenses on a digital body.
You can see for yourself it is a classy camera, so some film went in and lets see how it did. The film is a Fomapan 200 black and white, a bit grainy.
