Reflecting 2019

The last year was for me an interesting journey. I have learned a lot this year,watching my fellow bloggers. Looking what they do and how they grow. The goal was to get better at photograpghy. Now I have found out that I am not the most technical photographer, I like to work with light and shadow and try to create some mood in my photos. Feeling plays a big part in my photos. If they do not feel good to me , I stop, don't use them. Sometimes inspiration was a bit lost , than just had to wait and in a few days or even sometimes weeks it came back. Still my first interests that got me back into taking photos are the ones I still love to do. Architecture, city and street. Love to show of my city of Antwerp.

Than there is photoblog, So happy that I have found this place. Believe me that I say this is the only photoblog where there is a real community, and I have looked around. Joined one time 500px and stopped with it after a year. No community there only likes. Thanks Ram for keeping this blog going and I am happy to see we get new members on a regular base.

Friends ask me what is your best photo this year. Wel it is a set of photos. Something I do from time to time, try to get 3 or 4 pictures that go together.

This set I like to call;

Holding Faith

Have all a very good and safe changeover. See you all in 2020.

I love these sets of photos. The mono tones are really good - it does gives off some mood vibes. Great shots!

The biggest challenge is to find the perfect way to enjoy photography and the excel in some parts of photography. When you joined photoblog, you started with 100 days in b/w, followed by different challenges. I can't speak for you, BUT I learned a lot from you - although I will never be as disciplined as you are! wink

I learned a lot on the blog here. Stealing with my eyes. The discipline is there as long that it is fun to me. I am so happy that people take an extra look at my photos and take something away from it that they can use. Keep on posting, I love your blogs.

I too am happy to have found Photoblog and the people like you, who make up the community. It really is a place where one can grow as far as photography is concerned. Moving on to your above photos, they are truly inspiring. As much as I am not a monochrome person, on occasion I find them to be really beautiful. The four above are beautiful. You have the right light and shadows creating a very strong statement (capture).
Happy New Year to you and your family Peter smile
