Hunting for bears

When the schools closed some had a problem to keep their kids busy. Everything was closed playgrounds ,parks etc. For the older kids not much of a problem, they can keep themselve busy. The youngsters on the other hand ,they wanted to play outside with the good weather.

Somebody started the idea ,to put cudly bears in the window. So parents could have a walk with the kids and hunt for bears. This idea was picked up fast and out came the bears. Not only people with childern were doing it but elderly, grown ups with no childern joined in. The idea spread fast.

As more and more families were bearhunting, and the kids had fun doing it. The news came. The goverment asked to take away the bears, for the fear that to many go out and social distance is not being respected. It came on the tele, radio and in the newspapers.

Still on my daily walks, I see bears. They have grown from an idea to a statement. People do not take them down because the goverment ask so. They did it for the childern and they are staying there for the childern. That is the power of the bear. And i must confess, if i see them on my walks ,they bring a smile to my face.

Be honest , we all love a TEDDY.

All pictures taken with vintage lenses. Let me know if there are actions like that in your part of the woods. Or is hunting for bears going global.

Never heard that before. But I love the idea, and the pictures too. Every time I go out for my morning walk I never see anyone.

Everyday less people on the street. Yesterday a child of 12 died and that did shock the young community a bit. They thought they were imune.

I like this fun idea, unfortunately in Spain this initiative would not make much sense these days, the confinement to which we are subjected is practically total, they only allow us to go out for shopping once a week, go to the pharmacy or walk pets, but in any case you cannot go more than 500m from home and only one person can leave. Greetings and take care.

People in Mesa, Arizona are still putting teddy bears in their windows. The City has even encouraged it.
Stay well

We participate here ! My grand daughter loves it and her parents too! It is something to look forward to at the end of the homeschooling,, we went once to walk with them I see everyone maintaining distance at that time anyway , but it increased traffic in their subdivision,, but people are driving slow

Yes I heard about it on the news last night. I think it is a great idea.  Our area has not participated yet.

Haven't heard anything about hunting for bears in the U.S. Sounds like a clever idea.
