In Memorian

by Berckmans Peter August. 16, 2020 290 views

In the middle of a grassfield are big flags on high poles waving in the wind.

While the wind is playing with the red and white sheets, the sun creates shadows on the ground.

Luke Jerram made the flags out of bedsheets from hospitals, a tribute to what was and is.

You can walk under the flags and let your mind wander , taking time to reflect.

In Memorian is a strong work of art and a memorial in one. You can see it from close or from far. The red flags make a red cross in the middle, sadly there is no viewing point to see that.

The lens of choice for the day was the Pentacon 29mm f2.8 an icon of the 70's.

Really neat! Both the story and the captures. What a gripping tribute to our state of being.
