Horror

The small piece of nature here in Hoboken, where I take many eveningwalks. Is under treath. It is surrounded by industry in first place a petrol site. Now on this old site they are renewing the grounds for new industries. The devolpers promised to stay away from our piece of nature what is home of many animals, like foxes, deers a lot of birds and many more. They had promised a cleanup on the outside and maeke some new waterparts.

So this week I went for a short walk and found this sight, the y are taking out trees almost in the middle of the reserve. Looks like they are making a place for a road. At this side were living some foxes, I already saw 2 walking the railroadtracks in the morning, so they are moving one. I hope they are not destroying this small piece of nature.

Put up a parking lot.......

I hope it also and they make some extra green. But damage is already done.

So sad if they are destroying it, soon, there won't be much left

They ARE destroying that piece of nature. The presence of these machines is enough to chase every living creature away. In twenty years there will barely be a tree standing in Flanders ...

Not see much movement of animals anymore. And on the side of the river the MCB , maritime compagny , wants to make a huge building and a new site. So bey bey nature after a while

It's a real shame losing the trees, we need more of these "lungs of the earth" not less.

The images are stunning. The monochrome makes the images work extremely well.
Thanks for sharing.

A similar problem near us, with the UK's new super-railway cutting large swathes through some ancient forest :-(
