Guilty pleasure.2

Well after posting Guilty pleasure. I got a fair comment from my camerabuddy Patrick. In the B&W photos you can not see that it is whiskey in the glass. It could be water. He suggested to keep the color from the whisky in. I followed with his reasoning and went to work. So I give you both, edit 1 and edit 2 next to eachother.

I like that result, let me know what you find.

Normally I am not a fan of selective color images. This one I rather love the look of it .

I really like the edited version with the selective color. The whiskey pops. And between the 2 photos, #1 with the edit and the cropping is to my liking. In #2 my eyes go all over before focusing on the drink, whereas in #1 my eyes go straight tot he glass. Also, I think the darker tone of b&w helps define the glass and the liquor. I want to know how you manage to have such clean glasses. smile Btw is this also window light?

Clean your glasses never in a washingup machine and if they clean handle with a cloth not with greasy fingers. The light is just a small light from ikea.

All whisky is as clear as water when first made. It only acquires it's colour when maturing in the barrel. So you could say the black and white whisky is not aged yet.smile

Great!  How did you do that? Only problem I see is that it is whisky and not my favourite liquid refreshment, Mezcal!!!!!!!! Take care!!

I agree. Much better with the colour in the glass retained.
