Funeral viewing for Aaron

So I stole this picture from Aaron's myspace page. It was actually easier than I thought to do that. I thought maybe I'd get a picture of the funeral home or something from it, like a pamphlet or something, but it totally slipped my mind. It was my first time ever being at a viewing, and it was hard. I lost it. My mom and dad pretty much had to carry me over to see Dan and Donna, and my dad did most of the talking for me. I felt so ridiculous. I was the only one who was down right sobbing. I think it was everything combined that did it to me. The fact that it was my first one ever, for someone so young, their only child who could be Owen or Mason, and that he was my mom's “cancer buddy” and he lost his battle all did me in. RIP Aaron Whitmer, I am glad you are no longer in pain.

Funerals and viewings are hard no matter how many you attend!! You are just a sensitive and caring person and so you are more effected. The death of anyone you know forces you to face how fleeting and fragile life is and that's hard especially when you have kids!!

Thank you Melissa for the link to Aaron's MySpace page. It was so shocking to see him as he was...a 16 year old boy. I am so sorry you had a rough time at the viewing. I do not like them either.
