We only spent a couple of days in San Fran, on our way home to NZ, so I thought I’d split up the blog into three parts, as I think I got enough interesting shots to share. We decided to take the Big Bus tour to get the most out of our time there, and the following three photos I was lucky enough to capture from the top deck which was open air and cold :-)
I used the Fujifilm XH1 and the trusty 50-230mm travel zoom for these, combined with auto ISO it did a good job with the IBIS from the moving vehicle. I like the photo above because it shows an odd view of the Golden Gate Bridge hidden in the landscape.
The photo above I like because it shows a utilitarian but graphic view of the bridge in everyday use. In conveys scale and hsubtle & bustle.
The final photo above, again taken from the top of the tour bus gives some depth but also isolation to Alcatraz island sitting in the bay. Part of the Bay Bridge is shown behind, and I guess I like the layers to the scene and somewhat muted colours.
