We stayed in Hotel Vertigo in SF, the one that featured in the Hitchcock movie of the same name, starring James Stewart. It had two amazing stairwells that went form the seventh floor all the way down to ground in an amazingly uniform way.
The hotel is also near two steeply ramped streets that featured in the Steve McQueen Bullitt movies scenes, so it was movie buff territory right there lol. The exterior of the hotel had a unique look too...
The architecture in the late afternoon sun caught my eye in this shot near Union Square in San Francisco.
The sea mist can shroud the city in no time at all. Here the mist partially hides the city out to Bay Bridge, totally masking the top of the Salesforce tower which is the tallest building in the city, and which features a light display on top each night.
I felt these images lent themselves to Black & White rendering much better than colour, so I hope you like them too :-)
