Lines and thirds

I took this photo on a bike ride two weeks ago. I felt that everything kind of "falls into place" in the frame, but didn't think much about it. It was a nice view and composition, so I wanted to capture it. Now I see that maybe leading lines and rule of thirds are doing their tricks here, too ;)

The lines actually lead your eyes out of the photo

Thank you, Pete smile  Do you mean they lead eye out of the photo in a good or bad way? I'm curious to see your remarks and use them to make better frames in the future wink

I guess it depends on what you wanted to achive. Sometimes breaking a rule is a good thing. I am not sure how I feel about it and maybe I am putting to much emotion in it. But if that is true then you have achieved something with the
Maybe I should explain. You are led away from that nice open field with the light and to a dark corner that is busy and you cannot see what is coming next because it is cut off.
see way to much emotional input into the photo. Someone else may see it totally different. 
So the rule. Leading lines should lead your eyes to a focus point and keep your focus there . My eyes kept on wanting to leap back to that open field
