Willow Herb

Rosebay Willow Herb grows profusely in the hedge rows around my home. In winter the skeletons of the plants bleached and with the remains of flower heads survive for months. This year they were hit by early winter storms and now are bare and nearly white with very little remaining of the seed heads.

I had the 12-50 on the camera so I could work close up, unfortunately the lens is slow and there is not enough background blur in this photo.

Willow herb skeleton.

Growing above the hedge.

Seed head.
