Winter feed

by David Allen January. 22, 2018 657 views

Harry's store cattle have clustered around the silage feeder with a few starting to move away. The field which through the summer grew wheat is now churned up by the tractor bringing the feed.

A cold wind blows yet all the snow that fell yesterday has thawed.

OH, that is a nice shot - like well organized cows standing on the right spot at the right time to pose for you like models!

Thanks Sigrid. I had seen the cattle clustered around the feeder when I was walking the dog. So I rushed out with the camera and at first thought  that too many had already moved. Earlier in the winter the young cattle would rush up to the gate.

I'm always surprised about cows and their very specific behavior. They are very curious and are coming to the fence to sniff at visiting strangers. I learned a lot about cows, when I had to correct, adjust and add new texts and actual information to professional website. But I had to admit, I love the wide range of products more than the cows. Nevertheless they are very good photomodels as well as perfect additions to landscapes. You should post more photos of them, if you have more ... and yes I know, I'm greedy. wink
