At the end of the afternoon today I sat at the backdoor watching insects feeding on the buddleia that is growing in a pot there. The lesser tortoiseshell butterfly that had been there earlier in the day did not put in an appearance but there were bumblebees and a moth and other bugs on nearby plants.
