Another Office photo

Today there was trouble at t'office. The loco scheduled for the day had a broken spring on the tender. The replacement diesel could not create enough vacuum to operate the brakes so the first train of the day had to be cancelled. Part of what can happen when you are running a working museum. So steam was raised on this Great Western Prairie loco and here she is bringing the afternoon train in to Corwen station. (Steam locomotives are always she!)

Beautiful picture of a full grown "steam loco woman"! The heat is changing the air and the color in this picture - I like that.
Btw., I would like to have such a spectacular view from my office! smile

I enjoy being an assistant station master at this beautifully restored country station. It is in a very lovely part of the Dee Valley in North Wales. Today was feeling really Autumnal and cold enough to light the coal fire in the waiting room.
