A new way to develop pictures

I have remained uncertain about continuing with Adobe's new subscription approach to software. I have used Lightroom since version one and have continued to upgrade to the latest version of LR CC classic.

I have a copy of Luminar which is a fraction of the cost and just this week has added a file management module which Skylum are planning to develop further during next year.

These three pictures were taken back in 2015 and are trials in learning to use Luminar which is different to Lightroom but looks to be pretty powerful. All these were taken as RAW files and I cannot comment on how the software works with jpgs. The file processing is non destructive and jpg files are created by exporting in a similar way to Lightroom.

Converted to Monochrome and split toned in Luminar 3.

We had a photographic holiday on Sark which gave us access to some old interiors.

An old metal gate

This old metal gate lay against the wall of on outbuilding at home for some years.

Earlier in the year we had visited family in Scotland this was taken looking out over a rape seed field in flower.
