Papuan in their festive mood

Today, 17 December 2011 definitely my lucky day, as today is my last day in my last visit to Sorong, West Papua this year and fortunately I witnessing them in festive moods of celebrating the candidacy of their current Regent for the next period.
I found it difficult to get a good picture in a very crowded political gathering. Despite in a very hot day (noon and 34°C), a thick crowd is really really hard to get thru (and safely), so here are few of them.
Glad to experiencing this moment as I'll be flying home for xmas…can't wait to see my family:)

they just love to dance…and I love to watch them dance and listen to their fast beat music till forgot to take a picture:p

the various feather in the head covering….love the traditional woven cloth they wearing

this lady is enjoying the music.. and didn't care about the hot sun…she keeps dancing and dancing:)

a lady with timorese heritage who lives in Sorong for many many years also participated with wearing timorese hat

just captured him in the right moment, glad he didn't get angry with me to take a candid picture of him
