games people play - part one

(Feel free to check out the rest of this series. I posted them on Feb. 8, 9, 10 and 12th, 2014)

Downtown scattered on the grounds of Philadelphia's Municipal Services Building you can find an art installation called “Your Move”. It was created by artist and architects Daniel Martinez, Renee Petropoulis and Roger White in 1996.

The various game pieces are made of metal, cement and fiberglass, and are permanently installed. While vibrant when first put up, the weather, sticker art and graffiti artists alike have made their mark adding to the “character” of the pieces which depict familiar games like BINGO, Dominoes, chess, SORRY!, even Monopoly.

Remember playing monopoly?
(I always wanted the car playing piece.)
