blessings \ pope francis in philadelphia

During Pope Francis's visit to Philadelphia, he gave a mass at Cathedral Basilica of St Peter and Paul. Afterwards his attention was drawn to a small grotto beside the cathedral where wishes for blessings were written on small strips of cotton and tied to different structures such as railings, fences and a wrought iron dome. Seeing this, he walked over and ran his hands over as .many as he could reach and said silent prayers. He then took other small items from among the pilgramage and blessed them as well before handing them back.

I wondered if you would or Dan would manage some photos of dear Pope Francesco . Thanks for your lovely report too.
My daughter was born on his patron Saints day, which is today.

Great photos! I'm envious that you got to go. I'm not even Catholic, and I truly admire Francis a whole lot!

I'm not a religious person but this Pope deserves my respect. He is changing the church, which is not an easy task to achieve.
