The trunk of a felled Giant Sequoia. I've also seen Douglas Fir and Redwoods. Just goes to show that plate techtonics are the only thing between Eastern Scotland and the California coast.

      I really love Sequoia trees, I had a ball in (duh) Sequoia National Park.

      s'caro, I took about 4 days worth on here in one day of driving about. Much as I'd like to post pics of, say, cannulated hip screw surgery, I really can't walk around the hospital with a camera. And I'm just not desperate....no....insane....no....arty enough to post pics of, like, paper clips.
