Red-breast and white-tail

One day I will get the bear walking through my yard - as it did a few days after I moved in - or the cougar might come back - until then just these gentle souls….

He looks better blown up - not much better, but a bit - I do wish they would oblige me by not coming to visit when the light is awful and then parking themselves so far away I really need a NASA telescope to see them…..

7.30 pm! I ask you - what a time to drop in - trying to eat supper and they arrive and say ‘get a shot - go on, just try for it…’ Again, they look better enlarged - and I suppose I could have edited out that annoying piece of grass - but they might have wanted to eat it………

I think you need to buy your self another lens!!!
18 X 300mm would do the trick. But until that happy day, these are really nice. Most people would have to go to the zoo to shoot deer like this - you do it from your front door.

Lol! Love the grass comment. These are great! And at least you can see the grass unlike some of the sad folks who are still covered in snow.

I did enlarge them both, Polly - and they have great detail. The little visitors are so natural in their habitats, we can overlook the poor lighting. I love the captures and the caption! Your comments are always so cute and clever! (Thanks for the favorite on my wildflowers. Alas, I don't know any of their names!)
